I hired a Feng Shui expert to help me design an extended stay furnished rental.

This is the first of a five part series, “Feng Shui for Extended Stays, where I’ll share what I’ve learned.

Hopefully you can use some of these ideas in your home or furnished rental to improve how your environment makes your feel.

Bounce Light

Use mirrors to bounce light into dark areas that don’t get natural sunlight.

This is an amazing idea that I never would have come up with on my own.

One of the principles of Feng Shui is to have a grand entrance.

Since my entrance pours into a hallway, I had a problem. It felt wierd.

Hired an Expert

I wanted to improve the feel of this furnished rental, so I hired a Feng Shui expert to help me make more money.

My Feng Shui consultant, Gray Estrada, suggested that we:

1 – Hang mirrors in the hallway to make entrance feel larger. Mirrors expand the feel of your foyer.

2 – Use another mirror to scatter natural light from the windows down the hallway. As long as two mirrors don’t face each other, this concept works.

Natural Light Cascade

Imaging that… just like with a skylight, you can light up your home, for FREE, with mirrors.
